During the month of December, Northeast Pork Association hosted two Swine Health Workshops. On December 4, 2017, we hosted the event at the University of Connecticut (Thanks so much to the Animal Science Department for hosting us!). Farmers from across the state of CT joined us for a great and VERY informational workshop led by Dr. Laura Carroll of Four Star Veterinary Services in Pennsylvania (as seen in the picture above). Topics included veterinary feed directives and veterinary client patient relationships, vaccination protocols, common swine diseases, and so much more!!! We hosted the same workshop on December 5, 2017, at the NH Farm Bureau office in Concord, NH (thanks again to awesome hosts!). We saw farmers from Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts and were even joined by USDA veterinarians and UNH Extension! Two great days of learning for our farmers!
